Intermediate Kit
The Intermediate Kit is a
good choice where more than one child is going to play at the same
time. One of the small problems with children is that they
hoard blocks and squabble over certain pieces. This problem is
best solved by buying a bigger kit. The Intermediate Kit is
also big enough for a devoted play area or preschool where three or
four children are going to play together.

Advanced Kit
The Advanced Kit is a "tweenie" kit for the
family that needs a bigger kit than the Intermediate Kit but doesn't
want to go for a kit as big as the Family Kit (below). This
kit will keep three or four children occupied for days and provides
ample blocks for a small group of children without a lot of
squabbling over specific shapes. This is a good preschool kit
as long as play is limited to four or five younger children.
This kit is also perfect for a couple of 8 year olds who are
accustomed to blocks and have big ambitions. You can make a
small city with this number of blocks. A bookcase or cubby
system is required for storage.

Family Kit
The Family Kit is a large kit for the family that is designing a
play room and needs an ample supply of blocks for their children and
friends. This should keep four or five 8 year olds occupied at
cooperative building and allow structures four or five feet high
with airports, bridges, churches, and other structures. It can take
a couple of weeks for children to deploy this number of blocks but
the potential is amazing. A reasonably sized bookcase or cubby
system will be required for storage.

School Kit
The School Kit is a little larger than the
Family Kit (above) and includes an extra ration of the largest
blocks. As the name suggests, this is a good kit for a school
setting where children are working cooperatively to build larger
buildings and multiple structures. We also sell school kits on
another part of this web site that are targeted to those using one
of the common manuals on block play. But those kits tend to have a
very attenuated range of shapes are are more suitable for
kindergarteners than for older children. This kit contains plenty
of the blocks that will be interesting to more advanced builders.
